A multi-vehicle, early morning wreck on Interstate 85 in Anderson County involved an 18-wheeler, a bucket truck and a transport van. Investigators were still working to determine just how the truck accident happened.
Details of the Accident
According to the South Carolina State Patrol, the accident happened at about 8 a.m. on Wednesday, June 10. All three vehicles were subsequently located along the side of southbound Interstate 85 near Harris Bridge Road.
According to wyff, the bucket truck, overturned and landed in a grassy area just off the shoulder of the road. The truck was apparently operated by a tree service company. It sustained heavy damage in the wreck. The transport van was near the center median barrier of I-85. It sustained substantial front-end damage in the crash.
In the immediate aftermath of the crash, it was unknown whether anyone suffered any injuries in the multi-vehicle mishap. Although the investigation into this incident is ongoing, complex liability issues may arise when commercial vehicles collide in accidents with injuries. Sometimes, an attorney focused on relevant areas of South Carolina state law is helpful in sorting through all the facts of the case.
When there is a reasonable belief that negligent conduct contributed to such an accident, it is possible for injured victims to seek compensation for a host of losses and expenses, like unpaid medical expenses, pain-and-suffering and lost wages.
