The Florence Police Department released information regarding a two-vehicle collision that occurred at Five Points at approximately 6:45 a.m. on Wednesday, June 3.
The vehicles reportedly collided where Palmetto Street and South Cashua Drive intersect. One flipped on its side as a result of the crash. The police chief stated that the accident involved both a car and a pickup truck.
Loss of Life Reported
In addition to the police, Florence County EMS, the Florence County Sheriff’s Department and the Florence Fire Department also responded to the report of an accident. The Florence County coroner says that two individuals died at the scene. The 29-year-old female and 28-year-old male were both from Florence.
News13 reported that the intersection is often a busy one. Both the police department and the coroner’s office were continuing the investigation.
